Mother’s Day Craft and Keepsake Mother’s Day Crafts Mother’s Day is a few weeks away.While it may seem self-serving to have your kids make you a Mother’s Day Craft, it can be one of those precious keepsakes that finds a forever home in your treasure chest. Father’s Day Craft Father’s Day is a few days away… I am so blessed by my husband! He helps cast a vision for our homeschooling. He keeps me focused on the Lord. He reminds me that character trumps curriculum. Every. Single. Time. He reminds me to focus on life skills and “an attitude of learning” rather than any particular topic. He helps me regulate my own schedule so I do not spin myself into the ground. He trusts me to choose curriculum and teaching topics that align with our family while educating our boys. Snow Days: Setting Aside Curriculum For a Few Days My boys and I are learning all about snow! I set aside our “normal” curriculum and wrote a unit study on snow. Yes, I need a break. The boys are loving the break from the norm and are dreaming about our first snowfall. Hopefully we will be sledding before the new year. In the meantime we are learning about all the different types, colors, and sounds of snow. From Blood Falls to Surviving an avalanche, we are all amazed! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
