God said, “MY kids need to be…

• dependable, honest, trustworthy and kind.
• content while folding laundry, going on a million errands, or picking up dog poop.
• able to pursue their unique talents.

…So God made a homeschool mom.

 

God said, “You see, Each of MY kids is uniquely and wonderfully made.”

• They need to be loved and cherished.
•  They must learn the value of cleaning up after playing with glitter.
•  And they need to have the freedom to explore, run, jump, swing, slide, and hike through my creation.

…So God made a homeschool mom.

God said, “My kids need to feel the mud between their toes and look for shapes in the clouds; be taught the value of life and place more value on PEOPLE than things.”

…So God made a homeschool mom.

God said,  “I need my kids to be the first to volunteer and the last to leave.”

…So God made a homeschool mom.

God said,  “My kids should have the ability to chase an idea and make it come to life.”

…So God made a homeschool mom.

God said,  “My kids should be taught to eat healthy foods, yes. BUT, they also need to learn to plan and cook healthy meals and then clean up the mess.

…So God made a homeschool mom.

God said, “My kids should be clothed in clean clothes.”

But they also should know how to organize their closet,

• Sort, wash, dry, fold and put away laundry.
• straighten their drawers,
• budget for their next outfit,
• earn money through hard work
• then shop for the best deal with their own money.”

…So God made a homeschool mom.

God said, “My children should learn to ALWAYS replace the empty toilet paper roll.”

…So God made a homeschool mom.

God said, “My kids will LOVE nature.

But they should also learn how to grow plants, and keep my gardens beautiful.

They should also learn how to start a mini-business cleaning up their neighbor’s gardens.”

…So God made a homeschool mom.

God said, “My kids need to read and write.”

But, they really to learn the art of communication.

LISTENING is one of life’s greatest needs.

They need to Listen to their parents, family, neighbor, and boss. Yes, even to the stranger at the store.”

…So God made a homeschool mom.

God looked the woman.

“Are you willing to:

• be selfless and willing to work from sun up to sun down?
• learn right along-side My kids, because I need my kids to learn things you do not know how to do?
• look for help and encouragement along the way from Me and others I lead you toward?
• drink cold coffee, miss a shower, master the messy bun and rock yoga pants?”

The woman nodded.

God smiled. “Then, my daughter, I choose you.”

My personal statement of faith:

I believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

I believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

I believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

I believe “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” and that we are saved by faith in Jesus.

My favorite Bible teachers are my husband (Craig Sayler), Pastor Jon Courson, Pastor Chuck Smith, CH Spurgeon.
