All you need to make these activities a success is a list of the verbs you want your students to master.

• All about verbs: A Beautiful reference page to introduce the topic of past, present and future
• Sort the verbs: Given a set of verbs, your students will cut and divide them into action verbs or states of being verbs
• Verb Chains: Cut and create chains of verb phrases
• Blast off! This write and coloring activity explores the future tenses of a band of verbs
• Memory: Classic game of memory finding pairs of verbs from the same tense
• Hole Punch Verbs: Give students a cardstock bookmark sized list of verbs. They Say the verb and punch a hole in the card. Extend this activity by adding string/yarn and have them lace and say.
• Pocket of Verbs: Your students will create little mini foldables to doodle and explore their verb tenses- past, present and future. Then they will design their own pocket to add to their interactive folder as they learn and master the 3 basic verb tenses.

• Action Verb Craft: Build a verb map using strips of construction paper, students will follow directions to write, cut, and paste together sentences as they explore the different tenses of verbs
• Verb Bank Craft: In this write, draw, cut, fold, and paste activity your students will not only explore the different tenses of verbs you select, but the will create a fun interactive reference page to store their favorite verbs.
• Verb Mail: Write, color, cut and decorate verb post cards using action verbs of your choice! Make this an ongoing activity by using this as a handwriting warm-up activity each day. Ramp up the fun by adding a fun mail box to the room!
