Home Cool Down Tips

  • If cool in morning, open all windows and cool off house
  • Use fans to keep air circulating
  • Keep curtains and shades closed
  • Use dehumidifier if humid
  • Do not use oven

Keep People Cool

  • Wear lightweight breathable clothing
  • Keep clothes on!
  • Cold bath for feet
  • Cool showers/baths
  • Cold wash rags held to neck
  • Stay indoors
  • Stick to the shade
  • Drink lots of cold drinks

  • Keep a pack of wet wipes in the fridge – wipe your neck, face, hands and pressure points
