Why do I teach others to make and sell printables?

A post in a Facebook Group from a mom who needed to make $500/month in order to stay home with her babies.

Deep in the comments, I said, “I make $300-1200/month selling printables on TpT, I could give you some pointers if you’d like.

My inbox exploded with mamas who also want to make printables for profit.

What are you waiting for?

In 2014, my youngest son begged me to help him create a learning packet for kids. He was 9-years old. One Snow Sunday, we curled up on the sofa and brainstormed ideas. By the end of the day, he had created his own clip art set and had his first learning packet ready for sale. Since uploading his Snowman Fun Pack on my TpT site, he’s earned almost $80! That may not be the kind of money you’re dreaming of but think about that for a moment. A nine year old works for 4 hours and earns $80. Not bad!

Selling printables is a wonderful and surprising journey.

I still walk around shaking my head in disbelief when I hear the little cha-ching sound go off on my iPhone app (alerting me that I’ve made another sale). I love that it’s more than possible to take an idea, create it on the computer, upload it into la-la land (on TpT or another website), and someone in a different state or country pays for the ability to download and use my creation. It’s like magic.
