Riddles, logic puzzles, word searches, math games, crosswords, and even optical illusions are all examples of fun brain teasers to do!

Now, I’m not that smart. I don’t “get” most brain puzzles.

In order to stump my kids I have to search for puzzles and then know the answer long before I write it on the board.

Giving kids problems that make their little brains smoke is good for them. We are raising problem solvers and out of the box thinkers, so we need to give them lots of practice. Brain Teasers are a great place to begin.

Here are some Brain teasers to get you started. (answers are below)

What gets wetter the more it dries?

Can you name three consecutive days without using the words Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday?

Timmy’s mother had three children. The first was named April, the next was named May. What was the name of the third child?

There are about a bazillion more, just Google “brain teasers for kids” Answers to the teasers:

a towel

yes! yesterday, today, and tomorrow

Timmy of course

Wait! What about the sample Brain Teaser at the top? “nothing”
