A few weeks back I invited my readers to participate in a USA Post Card Swap. I was thrilled that 17 families decided to join in the fun. (Did you miss out?
Simply email me your address and add your state in the subject line and Ill make sure you get on the early bird list for next time!)
I was so tired of junk mail!
The post cards have made mail fun again.
We have received 4 state cards so far. We read each card, pray for each family, and search for their state. I am creating a simple template to help us turn the cards into a keepsake treasure too!
Learn from my mistake: I made a simple mistake when I bought my maps. I didn’t plan for how much space they would need, so right now we are unrolling our map each time a new card arrives.
This part is exciting for all of us. (Yes, you too)
One of my readers and Post Card Participants shared the www.postcrossings.com site with us. Its a free website that allows you to send a post card anywhere in the world. The fun part is that once you begin sending cards, you also begin receiving them from all over the world.
Did I mention that going to the mailbox is now fun again? We have been blessed to receive cards from Russia, Czech Republic, Finland, Japan, Malaysia, Germany, and Singapore!!! I am embarrassed with how rusty my own geography skills have become. Searching for the countries is an adventure for all of us.
Email me if you want to be added tot he early bird post card swap list!
Be sure to check out postcrossings!
Pick up some post cards and brighten someones day!
